The Marfa Field Guide FAR WEST TEXAS · EST. 2026
The people who make the place

Local artists.

Marfa may be small, but the work here travels far. Beyond the foundations and visiting names, the town’s creative life takes shape every day in studios, kitchens, garages, and back rooms. This growing directory brings together local artists and makers, along with their exhibitions, available work, and ways to connect.

If you’re actively creating in Marfa or the surrounding region and would like to be included, send us a note. Listings are always free, with direct links to your website or social channels so visitors can find you on your terms.

How this works

A few notes.

We don't rank artists. Order is alphabetical or roughly chronological by date listed; there's no "featured" tier.

Local means local. If you live, work, or have a studio in Marfa, Alpine, Marathon, Fort Davis, Presidio, Valentine, Terlingua, or anywhere else in this stretch of Far West Texas, you qualify.

Free to be listed. No editorial fee. If you'd like to sponsor the page or the newsletter, that's a separate conversation, clearly labeled.

You control your listing. Send us what you want shown. Update it whenever you want, by email.
